MY QUALIFICATIONS
I hold a degree in Accounting from the University of Oregon and have over 15 years of experience in the industry. During my career I’ve managed finances for small businesses, high net-worth clients, celebrities, and publicly traded companies. Over the years, I learned that corporate life is not for me, and I was happiest when with a practice that emphasized imparting good habits on clients while managing their books and investments. The latter helped shape my holistic approach. Now I’m finding that passion as my own boss, which allows me to spend more time with my family and pursue the work I find most vital.
I’VE BEEN WHERE YOU ARE NOW
In 2009, my husband and I had a hard talk about our financial situation. Between the IRS, student loans, and credit cards we owed nearly ninety thousand dollars. We knew what we wanted - kids, homeownership - but our debts kept us treading water. A mindset shift proved key to turning things around. Instead of focusing on how much debt we had, we looked at our spectrum of options for paying it off. We did the math and realized we could do it in two years, but we chose a path that would take three and a half, allowing us to use some money for fun while we worked towards paying down what we owed. Today we’ve achieved all we set out to do, and now have a solid foundation for our subsequent goals.
